Artist talk and screening
Tuesday, 19 December 2017, 7pm
Photon Gallery, Trg Prekomorskih brigad 1, Ljubljana
DIVA Station is a physical and web archive of video art which is being developed since 2005 at SCCA-Ljubljana with the intent to research, document, present and archive video/media art. In collaboration with the Photon Gallery, we organise Video Evenings with DIVA Station, regular screenings and conversations, with the aim to present and promote video artists participating in the archive.
In December, our host is Pila Rusjan, an artist working in the field of visual arts, theatre and AV projects. She will present her engagement as a video artist in the performing arts along with her other projects interlacing and connecting different media, from video and installation to interactive media, photography and performance.
The event will be moderated by Vesna Bukovec, a member of DIVA Station team.
Pila Rusjan (1984, Šempeter pri Gorici) is a graduate of Digital Arts and Practices (School of Arts, University of Nova Gorica) where she is currently continuing her studies on a Masters programme of Media Arts and Practices. She works in different media, from video and installation to interactive media, photography and performance. Besides producing her own artworks, she is also the author of video scenography for theatre and cultural events as well as director, assistant director or editor of video and television productions.
