Neven Korda: Sferizmatik

You are cordially invited to attend the installation opening and the performances of the project Sferizmatik by Neven Korda, SCCA's associate in the field of video art and archives.

Program:

• Visual and sound performance at the opening Pripenjanje:
  Tuesday, August 26, at 9 pm
• Problem performance Odpenjanje:
  Tuesday, September 2, at 9 pm
• Installation Sferizmatik:
  August 26–September 5, Monday to Friday, 5 pm-8 pm

Video is a medium in which all other mediums are 'embedded'. The subject of the Sferizmatik derives from global questions of relationship between art and spheres such as political movements, science (medicine, army, and industry), cultural industry, educational industry.

Just as global is the question between production manners of the possibly new and established models of contemporary art production. Meaning and importance of art as an area is vanishing by omnipresence of cultural products in contemporary societies. It looks as if diversity of production ways is dying out. And it is happening now.

The fact is, that privileged access to new visibility have non-artistic areas. And also art will not raise its contemporary visibility by subordinating its area to ideologic discourses such as science. At this point the construction of the Sferizmatik installation is nearing one of its repressed goals – the concept of beauty.
