The project series "Maribor <edu> Graz" brings together artists from both cities and is based on the fact that art education on an academic level neither exists here nor there. In a series of "Lessons", the project approaches topics relating to the functions and manifestations of temporary art education. While the first part of the project held in Graz dealt with "a temporary, improvised context of communication", part two emphasises on creating own, new realities.
The location on Glavni trg will be a Temporary ArtLab. During one week the participating artists will be present in the space, produce works for a subsequent exhibition, and will furthermore set some signs in the public space of Maribor. Processes open for participation by the audience will be triggered and discussion platforms offered.
Petra Varl participates with her wall painting The Kiss.
